To celebrate National Arts Month, the Art Association of Malabon presented "ART @ MALABON - Portrait Sketching Session" today at the Malabon City Hall Lobby. The event was graced by Mayor LenLen Oreta and Mr. Nemesio Miranda of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and marks the city's participation in the Philipine Arts Festival 2013.

Yet another showcase of Malabon talent
Another art exhibit was held on December 12-23, 2011 at the Malabon City Hall Lobby entitled "Malabon: Noon at Ngayon" (Pagtatanghal ng mga Likhang Sining sa Pintura at Iskultura ng Grupong Sining Tambobong ng Malabon).

"Malabon's Best" Photo Exhibit
As part of the on-going celebration of Malabon's 412th year in existence with one decade of it as a city, a photo exhibit entitled "MALABON'S BEST" opened today at the Malabon City Hall Lobby.
On display are photographs taken of people, places and events in Malabon by members of the Nayon Photography Club, a camera club for hobbyists based in Intramuros, Manila.
Many of the scenes are familiar - such as the churches, old houses, fishponds and Malabon specialities. But some are not - such as the Artex Compound, as I've never been there. In all, the exhibit gives excellent photographic highlights of our city. It's also a wonderful way to begin the month-long celebration that culminates in our beloved hometown's "birthday" on May 21st.
The "MALABON'S BEST" Photo Exhibit runs until May 22, 2011.

Art Display at the Malabon City Hall
To showcase the art and cultural heritage of Malabon, there is an Art Display at the Malabon City Hall lobby from February 21 to 25, 2011. It features the artwork of Sining Tambobong artists. Malabon designers, musicians and performers are also featured.

Ma'Arteng Malabon art exhibit: Malabon as the next art and culture destination
It was a gathering of creative talents that puts Malabon right there on the Philippine art scene map and on track as the next art and culture destination.
On Thursday evening, October 28, 2010 the Parokyano ng Malabon, a group of Malabon artists, held an exhibit entitled "MA'ARTENG MALABON" at the Pescadores Restaurant.
THE ARTISTS
Participating artists who showcased their works were:
"MA'ARTENG MALABON" was the second art exhibit organized by the Malabon heritage group of Monchet Lucas, Richard Bautista, Leona Nepomuceno and Terry de Jesus. It is part of the group's continuing efforts to foster awareness of Malabon's history and heritage, promote local art and culture, and support homegrown talent. The first exhibit was held in 2006. Monchet says some of our local artists are already well-known in art circles abroad and we don't even know them. At the "MA-ARTENG MALABON" exhibit, local art enthusiasts had the opportunity to view and own the work of Malabon artists.
Guests included Malabon Vice Mayor Len-len Oreta, Manila Vice-Mayor Isko Moreno, Cong. Chona Gonzales, Valenzuela Councilor Shalani Soledad, former Senator Tessie Aquino Oreta, Moleen del Rosario, Barbara Pardo-Tiangco, Chita Gatbonton, Lisa Ongpin Periquet, Tina Paterno and others.
