I'm absolutely thrilled to be starting this journey of rediscovering Malabon and to be sharing my thoughts and pictures along the way. I hope that in time people will begin to see beneath what has become its dowdy surface, peer into its very core and see the beauty and richness of its soul.
I also hope that you can share your own thoughts and memories of Malabon, your own insights and dreams for it. Maybe somehow, in our own little way, we can help restore Malabon to its former glory -- so it can become, once again, the gracious town of memory and dreams.
I'd really love it if you could also share your old pictures of landmarks, heritage houses, food places, events, hang-outs and watering holes of Malabon. Pictures of popular sites that no longer exist - like the old cinemas (Filipinas, Leonor/Estrella, Concepcion, Ultravista), Dairyland, Fish Fun, Nels-Ofel - are also welcome! If possible please indicate what year the pictures were taken. All pictures you provide will be duly acknowledged when used on this blog.
